Christian Web Site Design

Christian Web site design, or any web site design, can be a lot like building…well…a building. You’ve driven by other buildings. There are things you like about one, and things you don't like about another. You make a checklist for your building. Some things are “must haves.” Others are things that would be nice to have if there is money left over (Has that ever happened?—Anyone?).

The decisions to include something on your list are motivated by aesthetics, finances, practicality and you own personal goals. You may want the architect to think “outside the box,”—but not outside the budget.

Web sites are very similar. No doubt you have looked around. You have checked out other sites. You've made your list of “must haves” and wants.

Now what do you do with that list?

If you take it to a programmer, your Web site may function well, load quickly and even tell you the time in Hong Kong. But, there is something missing. It may be in the overall user experience. It may not effectively communicate your image. It may be an eyesore.

The answer must be to take it to you cousin’s best friend’s roommate who just finished art school and took some Web site design courses. Well that might make a site that is visually more engaging, but the functionality may be limited to the spinning logo on the home page.

So just what is the solution?

Well, you could go to some of the large Web site design firms where they employ a great mix of programmers, site architects, art directors, designers and project managers. This wouldn’t be a bad choice at all, except that this brings to mind one more similarity of building projects—a mortgage.

You need someone who understands both sides of Web site design and can work within your budget.

That’s where I can help. I understand what is needed to create successful websites. View my website design portfolio, and, then drop me a line. I'd love to work with you in designing and developing your site.
